Lone Star Carriage company was founded in 1981 by mother and son Lucille and Ron White. The company started with only one horse, one carriage, and Ron, the first driver. Ron bought the first horse, but had no where to keep it, so a neigbor Mr. Chesser offered to take care of the horse for free. Mr. Chesser told Ron that he could keep his horse at his 20 acre property for no charge. And so it began...

Lucille's husband Joe became a driver and co-owner in 1984-1997 after serving out two Air Force/Civil Service retirements. We've made carriage rides available for weddings, private parties, parades and sightseeing tours. We were joined by Richard Garcia in 2001. Together we have had great success.

We at Lonestar have, and will continue to upgrade our carriages and horses to have the newest, most comfortable fleet with the most beautiful horses around.

We have met lots of interesting and beautiful people since 1981, and all are encouraged to stay in contact with us.
